Carl Jones has a very broad-based real estate practice with emphasis on real estate transactions, real and personal property foreclosures and collection proceedings. He has represented banks and individuals as plaintiffs and defendants in foreclosure proceedings, collection proceedings, real estate transactions and contract disputes. Mr. Jones also represents businesses and individuals in real estate matters, including sales, loan transactions, lease transactions, and landlord and tenant disputes, as well as corporate and partnership matters, including formation and operation of corporations and partnerships, shareholder and employment agreements, and purchase and sale transactions. Further, Mr. Jones represents creditors in bankruptcy matters, including bankruptcy litigation involving lift stay proceedings, claims litigation, sales of estate property and objections to plans of reorganization. Through the years, Mr. Jones has developed very close professional relationships with many of his clients and has been fortunate to have had representations which have extended beyond ten years with several clients.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Jones was Senior Vice President of Gill Savings Association in San Antonio, Texas from 1981 to 1987. While employed by Gills Savings Association, Mr. Jones' duties included Manager of the Commercial Loan Management Department and a voting member of the Loan Review Committee. Mr. Jones was responsible for in excess of twenty-five employees and all aspects of a $1 billion commercial real estate loan portfolio. Prior to this position, Mr. Jones was responsible for managing the loan origination, underwriting and loan closing areas of Gill Savings Association, which generated approximately $1.2 billion in real estate loans.

Mr. Jones is married to the former Bobbie Lynne Woodward of Hondo, Texas, and is the father of one son, Matthew Robert. He has resided in San Antonio for over twenty-five years. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Jones was a Senior Vice President of Gill Savings Association in San Antonio, Texas from 1981 to 1987.
