Mr. Butler is a Shareholder in the Karnes City Office of Langley & Banack. Mr. Butler's practice is primarily centered on representing property owners in both litigation and transactional matters. In his litigation practice, Mr. Butler has handled a variety of matters including mineral ownership disputes, injunction suits, requests for declaratory relief, breach of contract, products liability, negligence, and breach of implied and express warranties. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Butler has negotiated and executed numerous oil and gas leases, pipeline, road, and surface use easements, water contracts, and other types of agreements related to mineral development in the Eagle Ford Shale. While most of Mr. Butler's clients are individual landowners located in South Texas, Mr. Butler also represents large and small businesses. Mr. Butler is a 2004 graduate of Baylor University Law School where he was named to the Dean's List and the Order of the Barristers. Mr. Butler was recognized as one of the top student advocates in the school's Practice Court Program, and was selected as a teaching assistant with responsibilities in organizing Practice Court trial schedules, instructing students in trial techniques by example, and acting as a student liaison. Since graduating and passing the Texas Bar Exam in 2004, Mr. Butler has served as a misdemeanor and felony prosecutor with the Bexar and Travis County District Attorney's offices respectively. Mr. Butler's trial experience and time standing before judges and juries is extensive for an attorney of his age. In 2010, Mr. Butler joined his father, Richard Butler in Karnes City, Texas, to form Butler Attorneys at Law, which has since become the Karnes City office of Langley & Banack. Clinton Butler was born in Cuero, Texas, in 1979. He and his family moved to San Antonio in 1989 when his father, Richard M. Butler, joined the Soules & Wallace firm. Upon graduating from San Antonio Winston Churchill High School in 1997, Mr. Butler went on to earn an undergraduate degree in Corporate Management and Communications from Baylor University in 2001, and a law degree in 2004. Mr. Butler and his wife, Patricia married in 2010, and they have one daughter, Isabella, who was born in 2011. Mr. Butler is an active member of the Karnes City United Methodist Church, where he volunteers his time to serve as general counsel. He also volunteers to serve as general counsel for the Karnes City Chamber of Commerce and the Karnes County Historical Society. |
