Ms. Macom’s practice has focused her twenty-five plus practice in two main areas:  federal court litigation and medical malpractice defense. Her medical malpractice defense practice has been primarily devoted to the representation of various types of health care providers and entities, including hospitals, physicians, clinics, behavioral health facilities, and skilled care facilities. Her representation of physicians has included several specialties including Obstetricians, Emergency Room Physicians, Surgeons, Hospitalists, Radiologists (both diagnostic and interventional), Family Practice and Internal Medicine Physicians, and Anesthesiologists. She also has extensive litigation experience in the federal court system representing corporations in a variety of federal court claims including multi-district litigation, class action, and collective action cases; as well as representing large municipalities in the defense of 42 USC §1983 claims.

Ms. Macom began her legal career as a Briefing Attorney to the late Honorable Justice Tom James at the Texas Fifth District Court of Appeals in Dallas. For several years, Ms. Macom has returned to her roots in appellate law and extended her representation of clients in the federal court and medical malpractice arenas into appellate matters. This extension has benefitted Ms. Macom’s clients with a viewpoint and breadth of experience past the scope of general litigation defense and successfully provided a full range of legal services from pre-suit through appellate phases.

Her federal court litigation experience has also included labor and employment matters for corporate clients including defense of EEOC Charges, FMLA litigation, Title VII violations, and wage and hour litigation both as individual matters and collective action.
