Paul Fletcher has extensive experience in land use and zoning and municipal law. Mr. Fletcher has represented, advised and lobbied on behalf of developers and property owners in matters involving zoning and land use, vested rights, property development issues, contract claims, water rights, public utilities and constitutional claims.
In addition, Mr. Fletcher has assisted in the representation of municipalities in both civil and criminal litigation. Mr. Fletcher serves as an Assistant City Attorney where he represents and advises City boards, commissions and officials in civil lawsuits and administrative matters involving plats, zoning, variances, special exceptions, signs, nonconforming and illegal land uses, subdivisions, code enforcement, employment, and sexual oriented businesses. He also drafts legal opinions and proposed ordinances on matters of municipal law.
Additionally, Mr. Fletcher’s real estate practice includes the representation of: property owners and property owner associations on issues involving the administration and operations of homeowners associations and the enforcement of restrictive covenants; real estate investors in conducting due diligence and negotiations for the acquisition of real estate; property owners with matters related to ad valorem taxes; and landlords on issues related to drafting, operation and enforcement of tenant leases.
